The Penthouse at the Paulsen sits high atop the third tallest building in Spokane, with a 17th floor deck and patio with the best views in the city.
The historic Paulsen Penthouse as the residence of Helen Paulsen for 60 years before she passed away about ten years ago. To be invited by her to her penthouse was a rare privilege, as tens of thousands of people have looked up and seen the large patio trees atop the building and yearned to see the lovely residence. Few were granted the opportunity, but now the Penthouse is open to the public on a limited basis. Currently a residence for publisher Vince Bozzi, he has opened it up as a short term rental condo and makes it available to the select public for private parties. Unfortunately, it is not open for publicly ticketed events, as it is zoned as a private residence.
The residence is wonderful for guests that want to stroll the deck and tour the elegant space. For weddings it is better for spring, summer and fall use as guests are less likely to go outside in the winter, which limits the capacity somewhat. However, it is still perfect for holiday parties! Even in inclement weather, the sunroom affords guests sumptuous views to the north, east and the south. A magical feature of the space is that it changes personality completely as the sun goes down and the city lights start twinkling. It’s as if you’re experiencing two spaces for the price of one! For weddings, the bride and groom could even opt to stay overnight in our lovely old world bedroom with attached bath. For parties or anniversaries, we can rearrange the furniture and transform the space to suit your needs. Whether booking for an overnight stay or a private party, you’ll provide your guests or yourselves a unique and unforgettable experience!
