The Loft at the Flour Mill is a unique event space that very few people have seen yet, since it was dormant for many, many years and recently carved out of the seventh floor “loft” of the Flour Mill and lovingly restored.
Perfect for smaller parties, weddings, retirements, conferences, milestone birthdays, showers, it is completely private and apart from the world. With the best view of the Spokane River in Spokane, it sits in a spot where flour and grain permeated the walls. When the Flour Mill was constructed, beginning in 1890, no one would have guessed that the top floor would be a desirable place for parties and events!
It has a capacity of 100 and can be set up with cocktail tables for parties or with rectangular tables for sit-down dinners and conferences. It has a full kitchen and screens and sound for conferences. Near the windows it exudes old world charm with custom leather sofas and loveseats, in an area that is perfect for relaxation and contemplation during a busy event or afterward when things have wound down. In the daytime extra light comes in through the skylight that runs nearly the entire length of the roof. You’ll see how the roof slopes and when you go back outside it’s fun to look up and see how it’s contained inside the slanted rooflines of the building. Modern yet rustic, we are proud to present this unique space to Spokane.
To enter, simply locate the elevator near the entrance to Clinkerdagger and go up to the sixth floor (Clinkerdagger itself is on the FOURTH floor). Then to get into the LOFT, you must take one short staircase up. It’s a charming journey up, but we do have to let guests know that it is not wheelchair accessible, having been grandfathered in as a historic building. Not to worry, though, as we have other wonderful event venues that can perfectly accommodate the handicapped, which we will be glad to show you!
